Guam, 1899, 10¢ brown, type II (9), virtually perfectly centered and remarkably fresh. O.g. Extremely Fine and choice. A gem example of this key Guam rarity.

One of the two rarest of the Guam overprints, the 10¢ type II is a stamp that is rarely found fresh, or sound, or even well centered. So we were hardly surprised to discover that this example is, by far the finest mint single certified by the Philatelic Foundation.

Small hinge reinforced tear at right. Very Fine appearing and handsome. The Scott value is for an example with a minor repair and normal black cancel.
