1857, 1¢ blue, type IIIa (22), well centered with perfs just touching design at bottom center, Plate 11, tied by "U.S.P.O. Dispatch Phila. Jul. 1 2 1/2 PM" octagon locally used orange cover with cameo corner card in indigo for the Patee House in St. Joseph Mo., 2nd strike of postmark. just above address, a beauty. Extremely Fine.

General" to Washington with clear "U.S. Ship 3 cts." in oval, Dec. 7, 1861 Washington postmark on reverse (torn on opening), Very Fine, excellent war-related ship cover.
