Independent Countries of Asia, 1871-1968, hundreds of mint and used stamps mounted in Scott Specialty album. Fair showing of many countries including Afghanistan, Israel, Philippines, Saudi Arabia and Tibet, but the strongest countries are Japan and Thailand. Japan starts with early 19th Century issues, but the real strength is in the 1920-1940 period which is very complete with many better sets and souvenir sheet including mint #82-84, 87-90, 154 toned, 163-66, 198-01, very complete Parks with many souvenir sheets, C9-13, C19 NH, etc., Thailand quite complete mint including many early overprints, 222, 225-32, 268-73, 275-82, B1-10, etc., condition is mixed, but most F-VF, mint o.g. with some NH.

Appears to cover almost all countries with both stamps and souvenir sheets, also a group of larger envelopes with several hundred glassines that are not included in the above totals, condition is F-VF and NH. The 580 envelopes have a total cost of over $28,000. Plus extra for the larger envelopes.
