EASTERN EUROPE, Group of mint and used collection in Scott Specialty albums, comprises Albania/Bulgaria (one album), Hungary (2), Poland, Romania, and Yugoslavia. All but the Albania/Bulgaria are fairly comprehensive, though most are primarily used with plenty of c.t.o. The Yugoslavia, which is the lone exception, is particularly nice, with lots of mint and better used material.

LATIN AMERICA COLLECTION, Excellent, very comprehensive collection in eight Scott Specialty albums and five stockbooks. The albums contain mainly used early 19th century and primarily mint late 19th and 20th century. The stockbooks consist of all mint stamps removed from the albums for Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Chile, and Dominican Republic. Both groups are surprisingly strong and, though missing the key values of some scarcer sets, include plenty of elusive sets and singles in the $25-$75 range. Condition is a bit mixed on the classics, but with plenty of sound F-VF material; the later material is generally F-VF. While the term "starter collection" is used rather loosely to mean a collection without much "meat", this is truly the ultimate starter collection with most of the basics already in place; all one need do is start tracking down the rarities.
Estimate 3,000 - 4,000

Scandinavia Used Collection, A wonderful intact collection to 1940 on Scott Specialty album pages. Highlights include D.W.I. #1, 13, 18 pair on cover to U.S., 31-39, Denmark #1-10, Finland some nice serpentines, Iceland #2, 14, 44B, 71-128 (no revenue cancels!), B5, O51, Norway #1-186, Sweden LX1-2, and much, much more, and the bonus is that virtually everything is F-VF. Scott value is in the neighborhood of $20,000. A great opportunity to start a collection of this currently out-of-favor area before it regains its popularity among collectors.

SCANDINAVIA COLLECTION, Two large cartons of mainly unmounted material with the bulk of the value in Finland, which was the owner's main focus, we note many better stamps and covers throughout, most still in original retail or auction packaging. Nice lot, one that should be viewed very carefully due to its unorganized nature.
Estimate 750 - 1,000

Scandinavia Collection, 1858-1986, hundreds of mint and used stamps, souvenir sheets and booklets mounted in two Scott Specialty albums, earlies tend to be used while mint starts to show up in the early 20th Century, then later almost entirely mint with many NH. Includes Denmark 5-6 used, Iceland C9-C11 mint, but mostly moderate priced items with the main strength from 1900s to 1970s, overall F-VF. This would be a great start to build a substantial collection from.
