Akron and Macon covers 1930's, box of 330 cacheted covers which are by Crosby and others including two silver Roessler 5/16/32 Akron flight covers, one with additional brown "AIRMAIL/U.S.S. AKRON" label on back and four 1933-34 Macon special event covers with large add-on photos. There are flights, special events and memorial covers here in a wide range of dates and designs, fresh and VF throughout, a beautiful lot much nicer than what is usually encountered for this popular collecting area.

United States valuable cover collection 1928-34, beautiful old 16x17x4 blue Crosby cover album with six gold embossed cuts on the front cover which is loaded with approximately 1000-1200 First Day and special event covers including about half being U.S.S. Constitution and other ships. The real value however is the large amount of classic cacheted U.S. (and some Canada) FDCs with a wide range of cachet makers. The pages have "browned" and the interleaving is cracking but the covers are sound and VF, a tremendous lot for dealer or collector alike.

United States Walter G. Crosby balance collection, diverse balance of approximately 3000 covers that are loose, in plastic album pages and in about a dozen albums including two large 16x16 blue Crosby albums with six gold imprints on the front cover (that are really empty). A wide range of topics are here such as FDCs, special events, WWII patriotics (including "Free" franks), Canada first flights (most non-Crosby handstamp cachets), New Zealand and four albums of modern vintage WWII naval ship p.p.c.'s. Also present in this lot is a fascinating balance of Crosby collateral material with everything from price lists to advertising flyers, photos (as a young and old man), naval programs, signed letters, unused cachet imprints/photos, three gorgeous black photo U.S.S. Constitution season's greetings cards, a 1948 signed letter from Mrs. Crosby announcing the discontinuance of manufacturing FDCs, 20 large multi-colored naval mock "documents" including four beautiful 1944 Alaska/Husky ones for entering Alaskan waters, misc. papers and five 2-4" diameter medallions. Lastly included is some literature such as two complete Planty catalogues and two volumes of naval ship cancels/cachets. Allow some time to view this lot for additional uncovered better items.
