United States old-time used postal stationery hoard, massive holding of between an estimated 30,000-40,000 entires mostly sorted in dealer's trays by issues including large amounts of 1¢-3¢ Plimptons, 1¢-2¢ 1903 issue, 2¢ Ovals, 2¢ Circulars, 1¢-3¢ Washington-Franklins plus modern and airpost issues as well as one box of about 350 mostly unused (preprinted) postal cards. This is a bulk accumulation which can be traced to Marcus White and then to Bill Maisel before coming to today's auction market and thus, because of having lain dormant for years, may well contain unfound better cancels postal history usages, foreign destinations (we spotted a nice group of 5¢ #U377 used to Europe) as well as die types and varieties. Some mixed condition as naturally to be expected, but the vast majority is F-VF. An exceptional lot that would give the right person hours (or should we say weeks) of delight.
