Denmark encased postage, Selection of more than 140 mostly different examples of these little-known World War II devices to help Danish merchant's deal with the shortage of coins. Each consists of a stamp (all but four are the 1¢ gray black, Scott #220-- there are also tow 2¢ and tow 5¢) placed on a small piece of thick paper with a printed advertisement on one side, then wrapped in cellophane. Most bear only text but many have appealing graphics. An outstanding holding of these scarce items.

Greenland lacks only the transposed color overprints on the high value Liberation overprints and the 70ø perf. 11½ and the three 1905 perf. 12½ Parcel Posts. The Faroe is missing only #1 and 5-6. Everything is Very Fine and most is NH including Greenland #10-18 and several Parcel Posts (e.g. Q9!). Scott value, with no premium for the NH Parcel Posts, is $3,200. A great lot.
