Envelope, 1861, 3¢ pink on orange (U37), mint entire, size 10, U.P.S.S. #85 ($8,000), exceeding strong embossing, bright fresh paper free of any discoloration, which often plagues this issue, thus making this probably the finest known in existence, Extremely Fine rare issue with the U.P.S.S. census stating that maybe five entires exist.

Envelope, 1920, 2¢ violet surcharge, type 7 on 3¢ dark violet, die 7 (U480a), mint 45x46mm full corner cut square with huge margins, large portion of the poorly struck type 3 surcharge shows at right which was why the Orlando Beach, Florida postmaster felt the need for the additional handstamp, Extremely Fine, rare issue with only 29 reported known.

Postal Card, 1886, 1¢ Jefferson, salmon pink color error (UX9 var.), U.P.S.S. #S8-N.B.1, mint card printed on the counting paper which, for a very short period of time, was inserted between every 500 sheets of regular card stock, Very Fine, a much rarer card than the unused Scott listed #UX14d ($1500) which has a similar origin.

Revenue, 1871 Second Issue, $200 blue, black & red (R132), choice centering with the four sheet margins and full imprints at sides, beautiful rich colors and a finely detailed impression. Full o.g., neat manuscript "E.C. July 7th 1872" cancel. An Extremely Fine gem.

THIS IS THE UNIQUE FULL SHEET MARGINS EXAMPLE, ARGUABLY THE FINEST EXAMPLE OF THE $200 "SMALL PERSIAN RUG" IN EXISTENCE.

Expertization: 1986 P.F. Certificate.

This stamp initiated by Erastus Corning, Jr. was purchased, along with a $500 and $50 stamp to pay taxes in the will of Erastus Corning, Sr. who died April 9, 1872. The stamps were not applied to the document but kept with it and remained in the family for 113 years, coming on the Philatelic market in 1985.

According to the Kingsley census there are only 12 examples that qualify as sound and Very Fine. This is census #5-15.
