1865 (Jun. 14) Philadelphia, Pa. to Aden, Arabia, c.d.s. tying 30¢ orange (71) on Goodhue correspondence cover addressed to Bark Marego in care of an Aden merchant, endorsed "via Marseilles, France", red "Phila. AM. Pkt. Paid Jun 16" exhange office c.d.s. and "London Paid JU 29 '65" transit, red crayon "1" penny, indistinct Aden backstamp, few trivial faults typical of tissue paper covers, Very Fine usage to a very rare destination; intended prepayment of the 30¢ French mail rate, but accepted into British Mails via Marseilles.

Pkt. 40" integral credit c.d.s. on Goodhue correspondence cover bearing 30¢ orange (71) and 15¢ black (77) tied by circle of v's cancellations, addressed to Zanzibar in care of an Aden merchant, endorsed "via Marseilles", additional "Boston Br. Pkt. Paid" backstamp, red "London Paid 7 JY 66" transit, red crayon "1" penny, "Aden-Stn.Point 25 JY 66" backstamp, reduced slightly at left, Very Fine usage to a very rare destination; 45¢ British mail rate via Marseilles for a letter weighing over ¼ ounce but not over ½ ounce.

1866 (Sep. 20) Faribault, Minn. to Jerusalem, Palestine, double-circle datestamp with matching four-ring cancellations tying 30¢ orange (71) and 3¢ rose (65) on disinfected cover, fumigation slit through 30¢ red "London 9 OC 66" transit, "Calais 10 Oct 66" transit, circled "12" credit and "PD" handstamps in light red, "Marseille 11 Oct 66" and "Alexandrie Egypte 18 Oct" backstamps, Very Fine usage; franked with 33¢ postage for the British mail rate via Southampton, handled via Marseilles and Egypt.

EXCEEDINGLY RARE 1861 ISSUE USAGE TO JERUSALEM.

A.C. 10 Jan 64" transit with matching boxed "P.D.", reverse with two partial French style transits; opening reduction at left and portion of reverse removed, repaired at lower left, still a Fine usage to a rare destination; 30¢ French mail rate.
