Outstanding Specialized Collection Balance, 1848-1935, Mainly mint collection of regulars and commemoratives on Scott National pages to 1935. Starts with plate proofs of 9X1 and LO1-2 and builds from there. Highlights are almost too numerous to mention, though we will mention nearly complete mint/unused Banknote issues, 1869s, and Columbians less only the 5¢ and $4, with $500-$1000 & up stamps throughout, as well as plate number strips, proofs and specimens—the catalog value is huge. Unfortunately, the condition is quite mixed and there are many problem coils, but there is also plenty of F-VF and unusual material here. A valuable lot, a careful inspection of which will prove very worthwhile.
Estimate 40,000 - 60,000

Fabulous Plate Number Collection, valuable old-time collection in one fat stockbook. Incs innumerable plate blocks and plate no. strips and singles from the Banknotes to the 1940s. Includes Columbians to the 15¢ Trans-Miss. to 5¢ Pan-Americans to 10¢ lots of 1st Bureaus and 1903s, Washington-Franklins, 1909 commemoratives, 1922s to $1, 581-591 complete, Kans.-Nebr. less the 10¢ Nebr. Centering was not a particular concern for the owner, so there aren't a great number of VF pieces to be found but there are very few actual faults other than separation or h.r.'s. and there are random NH items throughout.
