1873, 3¢ green with Douglas patent 8-hole punch (158 var.), virtually perfectly centered with large balanced margins, bright color and very lightly hinged original gum. Paper split and hinged together. Still an Extremely Fine gem. A very difficult stamp to get in this quality.

Though this is a P.F.-graded stamp, for reference we note that only one 30¢ gray black has been graded XF 90J by P.S.E., and only two have been higher (XF-Sup 95).
