1857-60, 1¢ Blue Type V (24), cancellation group, eight singles and four pairs: singles cancelled "Way", blue "Balto./Paid" double circle (2), red grid, red and black Carriers, "Alta Express Co." (over pen cancel) and S-O-N Mobile, Ala. c.d.s.; pairs, respectively, are: large triangles [Masonic?], blue "Balto./Paid" double circle, S-O-N Mobile, Ala. and Elgin, Ill. c.d.s.s, the first pair has a "captured" imprint in the left margin; F-VF and attractive group.

1857-60, 1¢ Blue Type V (24), specialized group of 44 singles, eight pairs, four strips of 3 and two block of 4; includes a mint and three unused singles plus one of the strips and the block are unused; two of the singles are type Va; positional pieces include eight with centerline and 16 with "captured" imprint in margin (one of these is a strip of 3 that barely shows the top of plate "No. 7 P", there are also three singles with attractive but dubious fancy cancels; some faults but generally a F-VF and attractive group. Scott value as "normal" is about $4,200.

1857-61, 3¢ Type III (26), balance of specialized holding consisting of about 1,050 stamps in a stockbook; 12 mint/unused singles, five blocks of 4 (two are unused), about 20 "captured" imprint and 24 centerline singles, and, of course, lots of shades and cancels including a Chicopee star, lots of Paids and about 150 tied on piece; mixed condition but generally F-VF.

1857-61, 3¢ Type III (26), Cancellation group, 59 stamps with virtually all different premium cancels including Bond's Village, Mass. red "PAID" around star, West Hampton, Mass. clover, West Hartford, Ct. "L.B.", Masonic, stars, unusual geometrics and paids, numerals, FREE, COLLECT, STEAM, "Troy and New York Steam Boat", a black Carrier, Supplementary Mail, Wells Fargo, better town cancels (including a Mobile C.S.A. usage, St. Paul and Leavenworth City territorials, and two greens) and a fancy "Military Institute, Franklin Co., Ky."; because all were chosen for their cancel, condition is somewhat mixed, but the majority are F-VF. A terrific lot. Scott value is about $1,100++.
