Confederacy, Incoming Blockade cover from England, folded business letter datelined Liverpool, 4 June 1864 to Richmond with partial Jun 29 Charleston entry c.d.s. and oval "Steam-Ship" handstamp, very faint manuscript "12" rate in blue pencil, letter written on blank leaf of two-page printed letter from the same firm datelined London, 31 May; F.-V.F.

Confederacy, Incoming Blockade cover from England, cotton merchant's folded letter datelined Liverpool, 1 Feb 1865 to Houston Tex., carried outside the mails by private carriers "Fredk. Huth & Co., Liverpool" and "Virgnier Robertson & Co., Havana", each of which has applied their blue oval handstamp; expertly refreshed, Very Fine. A marvelous blockade-run cover carried outside the mails.

Confederacy, Outgoing Blockade cover to France via Bahamas, lemon envelope to Paris handstamped nice strike blue oval "Forwarded By/ Henry Adderly & Co./ Nassau. N.P./ Bahamas.", red Jan 19, 1863 Nassau and Feb 13 London c.d.s.s with Feb 14 French entry c.d.s. and red oval "PD"; expertly refreshed and repaired to Very Fine appearance. A rare usage.

The cover originated in Charleston and sailed to Nassau aboard the
Leopard on January 6, 1863.

Confederacy, Thru-the-Lines cover via Louisville, to Northampton Mass., originally franked with a 3¢ dull red (26), pen canceled but apparently not accepted at Louisville; a second 3¢ stamp was placed over the first and canceled by a blue grid with a matching Aug. 15, 1861 Louisville c.d.s. alongside; top stamp lifted for examination and hinged back, cover with two small corner mends, Very Fine appearance, a rare and fascinating "Southern Letter Unpaid" usage.

Confederacy, Soldier and 11-Star Confederate Flag, patriotic design (Dietz Ty. F-C-1a) in dark yellow on a gray envelope postmarked Sep 7 (1863) Macon, Miss. c.d.s., manuscript soldier's id mostly eradicated by water stain, includes original soldier's letter to his wife, datelined "Camp Co F Fair Grounds, Macon Miss, Sunday Sept 6th 1863", letter is quite articulate and neatly penned, but heavily cross-written on two sides of a lined sheet; a scarce design in a rare color.

Confederacy, 1862, 10¢ rose (5), large margins, lightly soiled, tied by large part Jun 1862 Gordonsville Va. c.d.s. on cover to a Mrs. P.E. Pryor in Americus Ga., Very Fine. Mrs. Pryor was the wife of a Confederate uniform manufacturer in Americus.
