Expertization: 1996 Holcombe and 2010 V.G. Greene Certificates, the latter not mentioning either fault, but noting "discoloured" gum.

The London Philatelist, Volume II, 1893, the deluxe, quarter-leather edition in which are contained the J.A. Tilleard black proofs made from the original Beaufort House dies; the January issue contains three pages of die essays and die proofs (11 different), the March issue has a 2d proof sheet from a plate of 60, and the April issue features three pages of plate proofs: the 4d (plate of 30), the 3¢ (plate of 50, 5x10) and the 12¢ (plate of 50, 10x5); the binding shows only moderate wear and the contents are fresh and crisp.
