Provenance: Lafayette

The largest known, naturally occurring multiples are two recorded blocks of six. However, given the exact match of centering and identical gum condition, one could easily postulate that these two blocks had actually been a block of eight sometime in the past.

ONE OF ONLY FIVE USED BLOCKS IN PRIVATE HANDS.

Expertization: Hessel, Ishikawa, Lafayette.

There are used strips of six and seven and a block of six recorded. However, the strip of seven and the block of six are part of the famed Hirzel collection, permanently housed in the Swiss Postal Museum.
