New Brunswick, "Ship Letter (Crown) St. John. N B.", handstamped oval on folded letter to St. John datelined Merion, 9 May 1841; manuscript "4½" rate, Very Fine.

The letter was carried by private ship outside the post to St. John where it entered as a ship letter (J.G. & Y. #147) and was rated 4½d Cy collect including 2½d Cy ship master's gratuity.

New Brunswick, to California and returned, 1860 5¢ yellow green & 10¢ vermilion (8, 9) tied by oval grid on partial 1864 cover (full front and most of back) from Richibuto to San Francisco, Richibuto postmark on back along with Jul 6 St. John transit c.d.s., addressed to a William Miller "from Richibuto" in San Francisco, red straightline "Not Called For" with Aug 17 San Francisco "Advertised" c.d.s. on back along with a Sept 23 San Francisco departure c.d.s.; finally with a Dec 1 New Brunswick Dead Letter Office c.d.s. on front; few closed tears/cuts, Fine and attractive.
