One of four recorded, and the only "Free" example.

VT/ NOV. 14 1851, well struck in 2 lines, in blue, with ms. change in date, matching "PAID" struck at angle (as always) and "3" h.s. on folded letter to Danville, Vt., contents headed "East Montpelier"; few small toned spots at bottom edge, still Very Fine and attractive. Seven examples of the Type B postmark are recorded, though two have not been seen for several decades.
