Exceptional 19th Century Collection Balance, 1847-1867, starts with a 4-margin 5¢ 1847 on cover and another on piece and doesn't quit; includes nice strips of 3 of 1¢ #7 and #9, the latter on cover, several 4-margin 3¢ #10 including one on cover, three 4-margin 5¢ #12, a 1¢ #22 from plate 11 on cover, two singles and a pair of 5¢ brick red #27, a strip of 3 of 5¢ #29 on cover, a 24¢ #37 on cover, plus equally nice 1861-67 issues, both on and off cover; and while there are a few stamps that aren't quite as nice as they look—and most look real nice—the vast majority are Fine-Very Fine with a lot of nice cancels. Plan to spend some time viewing this one.

Balance of Collection, 1851-1935, large stockbook containing the duplicates accumulated while forming an outstanding specialized collection; starts with a F-VF 5¢ 1847 with a PSE Certificate, followed by about 25 each of #7 & 9, a nice selection of low to mid-range 1857s with a specialized group of #24 (including 14 covers) and more than 70 #25 (cat. $125 each); then there are useful groups of 1861s, 1867 grills and Bank Notes, etc. The 19th century is mainly used but the 20th includes some nice mint $25-$100 stamps with many being NH. Condition is mixed but there are plenty of F-VF to be found throughout. An excellent lot with lots of hidden value.
