German Area, Highly Comprehensive Intact Collection to the 1950s, nearly complete for all areas, painstakingly assembled over a 20 year period. Germany itself is virtually complete 1872 to the 1950s, including almost all of the keys, souvenir sheets, Airs, Federal Republic, Berlin and DDR. Also virtually complete are the offices, administrations and occupations, as well as a comprehensive showing of States. Condition is definitely above average with plenty of NH in the mint, and while there are bound to be some questionable items in the overprints and cancels, many are signed or have certificates. A simply outstanding collection.

Germany, Powerful Mint and Used Collection, 1872-1990, Entire collection housed in 13 deluxe Borek Hingless albums, offered intact as received from consignor, encompassing all aspects of German philately with the exception of German States & Colonies. The Empire is in one album, mostly used, good showing of both large & small embossed "Eagles", many attractively cancelled, excellent "Germania", Inflation issues appear postally used (including the better numbers). The 3rd Reich is in two albums, nearly all unused, in mounts and most appear NH; of special note is a postally used strip of 4 from the 1933 Ten-Year souvenir sheet, with certificate. Two albums are devoted to French Zone, Berlin and WWI & WWII occupied nations, mostly unused complete sets, many NH; we note excellent early Berlin issues. The Republic is in three albums, mostly sets, many later issues NH, including very fresh & attractive "Post Horns" set. East Germany appears mostly complete in five albums, nearly all better issues & souvenir sheets present, later issues appearing mostly NH. A very pleasing and attractive collection.

Numerous stock books and dealer's books crammed with the ordinary to some very good material, 100's of covers, 100's of complete sheets, Berlin, Soviet Zone, early DDR, etc., etc. Simply a huge amount of material with plenty of better that warrants a most careful go through.

Poland - Woldenberg, Polish Officers Prisoner of War Camps, 1942-45, Highly specialized collection of several hundred in two albums; appears to be complete, many mounted on descriptive pages mentioning quantities issued, paper varieties, printings & color varieties, etc. Also includes many covers, souvenir sheets, essays, trial color proofs, proofs, unaccepted designs, couple possible unique items including 1945 unfinished sheet of 10 (Michel 44 variety). Many covers to celebrate special events in camp but note several appearing delivered between prisoners in different barracks. A fabulous holding that would be most difficult to duplicate and could easily be redone into an award winning exhibit. Very high catalog value in 1983 Michel (this being last time these were listed).
