A great set of the 1890 small Bank Note issue is a most challenging one to assemble. An interesting statistical analysis helps to illustrate this challenge:
The PSE has awarded the grade of 100 to only two of the 11 different denominations— and that includes some really common stamps, e.g. the 1¢ with over two billion printed and the 2¢ with over six billion printed. The 30¢ is one of the most difficult values, and if your quest is for the very finest, this stamp is a must.
