1916, 1¢ green, imperf (481), horiz pair tied by Perrysburg, N.Y. machine cancel, Jan 12, 1929, on cover to England, forwarded to Australia with 1½d KGV added for forwarding postage and tied Jan 28, returned to send with Australian 3d Kookabura tied Mar 6; opening tear at L, Fine and unusual, the 2¢ treaty rate to England did not cover forwarding, hence the addition of the G.B. 1½d, the cover was probably delivered successfully in Australia so it had to be remailed, requiring the Australian 3d .
