Broadway City Express Post Office, partly struck oval on cover to No. 29 Burling Slip with additional "Paid/ Swarts" in frame, arc-style "Paid" also struck, blind embossed c.c. on flap, Very Fine conjunctive use. Benjamin Lockwood, who succeeded Aaron Swarts in the operation of Swarts City Dispatch Post, also acquired the Broadway Post Office in 1853.
