Great Britain, 1833 (Dec. 23) printed "Charged for Error" folded letter from the General Post Office to the Postmaster o, who was personally charged for insufficient prepayment on a letter he accepted for transmission to Jamaica: "applied as Due the Instructions been consulted, this Error might have been avoided", rated "¼" (the difference in postage to be charged).
