Netherlands East Indies, 1890 (July 25) 100r postal stationery envelope from Rio de Janeiro to Batavia (Sept. 18) via Pa, uncancelled and showing framed "T" adjacent, with Postage Due 10c and 15c pink and black cancelled by numeral handstamp on arrival, the postal stationery envelope was demonetized following the overthrow of Emperor Dom Pedro II and in any case was insufficient since the normal rate from Brazil was 200 Re-Issues, no prepayment of postage was recognized from Brazil and it was treated as unpaid (rated "0.25" centimes deficiency), however the Neth. East Indies post office failed to double the deficiency but eventually undercharged the recipient by half.
