Canada, Stampless Folded Letter from Quebec to New York, endorsed by sender "paid No 15 to the lines" and postmarked red Quebec broken circle, March 19, 1850 with large red straight line "MONEY-LETTER", crowned circle "PAID/AT/QUEBEC" and manuscript rate "1/11" double the 11½d per ½oz. rate to the border, second red "MONEY-LETTER" handstamp applied at Montreal where the cover was backstamped on March 21, at New York City a postal clerk lined through the "PAID" in the crowned circle and wrote "20" (¢) due, the double rate for over 300 miles to New York; small piece of back flap missing, otherwise Very Fine.
