Canada, 1851, 6d slate violet, laid paper (2), margins large to just clear, tied by target cancel on buff cover from Ingersoll, U.C. to Lockport, N.Y., postmarked red Ingersoll broken circle, Aug 23, 1854 with matching straight line "MONEY-LETTER", red "CANADA/PAID 10 Cts" exchange marking and bold Suspension Bridge, N.Y. c.d.s. Aug 24, no other markings, docketing indicates delivery on the 26th; couple small insignificant abrasions at lower left, Very Fine.
