Canada, Provisional MONEY LETTER handstamp, Sandwich, U.C., clear strike in red on small folded letter to St. Thomas, U.C., postmarked red Sandwich broken circle, Nov 24, 1854, and matching "PAID/3d" in circle, the government issued "MONEY-LETTER" handstamp was applied upon arrival in St. Thomas and backstamped on Nov 25; horizontal file crease, fresh and Very Fine. The only recorded example of this marking. Estimate 300 - 400
