Syria, 1920 (May 5) cover from Otley to Beirut, bearing Great Britain 1½d cancelled by c.d.s. with octagonal "T/20" handstamp adjacent and Postage Due "O.M.F. / Syrie / Ch. Taxe / 3 piastres" surcharge on 30c brown violet (Cérès T3) cancelled by bilingual "Beyrouth" c.d.s. (May 22), envelope has tears at top and right and the stamp has light fox marks; of the 900 Postage Due stamps issued only four commercial usages have been recorded.
