Canada, 1888, 3¢ bright vermilion (41), tied on cover from Waterford, Ont. to Ann Arbor, Mich., postmarked faint Waterford broken circle, July 21, 1884, but the stamp was apparently uncancelled, upon forwarding the cover from Ann Arbor to Highland Sta. on July 22 the postal clerk, Harry Nichols, applied his distinctive "HN" canceller to the stamps and to the cover alongside the Ann Arbor c.d.s.; minor tear at upper left Very Fine and rare, only 14 covers have been recorded with this marking, only two of which are Canadian.
