Canada, 1888, 3¢ bright vermilion (41), two singles and 5¢ registration stamp #F2 tied by Queen St. East, Toronto duplexes, Sept 19, 1890, on registered cover to Portland, Me., damaged in transit, violet handstamp on reverse "RECEIVED AT /PORTLAND, MAINE/SEP 23 1890/IN GOOD CONDITION, REGISTERED", the word "Bad" has been written over "GOOD" in blue pencil and the clerk has initialed the stamp and sealed the envelope with three post office seals (#OX5), also backstamped Toronto Sept 19 and Montreal Sept 21; Very Fine and scarce.
