Canada, 1888, 3¢ bright vermilion (41), 3¢ bright vermilion, pair and strip of three, tied by five strikes North Brookfield, N.S. broken circle, Oct 2, 1890 on cover, backstamped Annapolis, N.S. and Halifax, N.S. on Oct 10, Point, Natal on Nov 10; cover is addressed to "Port" Natal, a postal clerk somewhere along the way has written "Try Pt" for Point and the cover was finally delivered; small piece of right stamp in strip is missing, otherwise Very Fine.

The 15c postage overpays by 3¢ the 12¢ rate which, until January of 1890, had been 15¢. It is the only recorded pre-U.P.U. cover to Natal.
