Transvaal, Petersburg, 1901 "Zoutpansberg Wachter" Essays, two examples handstamp dated "6 JANUARI 1901" and bearing essays in blue for the six values in different frame designs, one with wording at foot in black, the other in blue italics, both are signed by the magistrate of the Zoutpansberg District, one sheet (blue italics caption) defective and mounted on backing board, other with a few small thin spots. Otherwise Fine. A very rare and possibly unique pair, great item for the specialist.
