Newfoundland 1857, 2d scarlet vermilion (2), pair, strong bright color and superb impression, large to huge margins, tied by barred oval handstamp on 1859 folded letter to Baltimore, showing "St. Johns Newfoundland Paid" double arc origin d.s. in red and "5/Boston Br. Pkt./Nov. 21" c.d.s. adjacent, two ironed and reinforced filing folds, one of which crosses the left stamp, Very Fine. SG 2. Estimate 25,000 - 30,000
