Newfoundland 1860, 4d orange vermilion (12), and 3d green (11, SG11), both with fresh color and large margins all around, cancelled or tied by oval of bars on 1862 envelope to Philadelphia, showing "Harbour Grace/JA 31 1862" double arc origin d.s., "St. Johns Newfoundland Paid/JA 31 1862" rimless exchange c.d.s. in red and "Boston Br. Pkt. 5/Feb 11" c.d.s. adjacent, pencil "5" rate marking also ties 4d stamp, the envelope has some pressed creases and slight restoration at lower left corner, nevertheless a Very Fine 6 pence ½ penny stg. rate cover from the interior to a U.S. port.
