Nova Scotia 1860-63, 5¢ deep blue (10c), three singles tied by circular barred grid 1865 envelope (with original enclosure) from Advocate Harbour to Eugene City, Oregon via Parsborough N.S. (Aug. 26) and Amherst N.S. (Aug. 28), the stamps and cover have various faults, nevertheless an interesting 15 cent rate cover from a small way office which had no postal marking device. SG 25.

Although the rate from Canada and New Brunswick to the West Coast had been reduced to ten cents in 1864, the 15 cent rate from New Brunswick remained in effect until January 1, 1868.
