Nova Scotia 1860-63, 8½¢ deep green on yellowish (11), indistinctly cancelled on 1861 envelope to Boston, Mass., showing "Halifax Nova Scotia/DE 12 1861" rimless origin c.d.s. (on reverse) and "Boston N. Pkt. 5/Dec 17" c.d.s., the stamp has faults due to its having been applied over the edge of the creased envelope, nevertheless a Fine appearing example of the short-lived 19 month 8½ cent rate by Cunard steamer to a U.S. port of arrival.
