British Columbia & Vancouver Island 1869, 5¢ on 3d bright red, perf 14 (9), tied by "35" in barred oval in blue on 1870 U.S. 3¢ pink stationery envelope (U58) with Wells, Fargo frank to London, England redirected internally, also bearing U.S. 3¢ ultramarine (114) tied by circle of wedges, showing handstruck "For Great Britain and Ireland" in blue, "Wells, Fargo & Co./Victoria/Jul ?" oval datestamp in blue, New York transit and "London Paid/8 Au 70" arrival c.d.s. both in red adjacent, a forwarding label has been removed to show the cancellations, the British Columbia stamp is repaired at the top left corner and the cover has a small tear at top, very rare and appealing usage.
