Paid" transit c.d.s. on reverse of blue Howland correspondence folded cover bearing two 30¢ orange (71) singles tied along with 3¢ rose (65) pair by "Paid" in grid cancellations, endorsed "via England p. Europa", red crayon "56" credit, red "London MR 4 '63" transit and red crayon "2", reverse with rimless red "Capetown Apr 11, 1868" transit and "Port Elizabeth AP 14, 1863" receiver; 3¢ couple tiny stamp tears, tiny upper edge tears, still a Very Fine usage; double the 33¢ British mail rate via Plymouth.

RARE DOUBLE WEIGHT USAGE JUST PRIOR TO THE RATE INCREASE IN MAY 1863.
