AN EXCEEDINGLY RARE EXAMPLE OF A NINE STAR CONFEDERATE FLAG PATRIOTIC.
The ninth star represents the admission of Arkansas to the Confederacy on May 18, 1861. The tenth state, North Carolina, was admitted only three days later. Very few nine-star flag patriotics were created during this very brief period.
