1902 (12 June) registered "Ostasiatische Lloyd" overprinted "China", 5pf money card for the value of $12 to an officer of the Third Sea Battalion in Tsingtau, bearing "China" overprint 10pf rose and 20pf ultramarine (Michel 16, 17), cancelled by "Shanghai/Deutsche Post/a" c.d.s., with registration and "Nachnahme" labels, the latter tied by arrival c.d.s.; 5pf for postage, 20pf for registration, and 10pf for"Nachname" (rate for this system introduced on 23 November 1900), Very Fine and rare.
