Kuis: 1900 (8 Feb.) envelope to the Rhenish Missionary Society in Barmen (2.4), endorsed on reverse "Abs: …/Gibeon, D.S.W. Afrika" (sender's name rubbed out), bearing 1897 overprint 3pf grey brown (Michel 1a) irregular block of four, cancelled by pen crosses and one stamp by "Kuis, 8.II.1900", with "Gibeon" transit c.d.s. (13.12) on reverse, two stamps (3pf and 5pf) removed and envelope a little reduced at foot, Fine and one of the great rarities of German South West Africa.

THIS IS THE ONLY RECORDED COVER FROM KUIS.

Expertization: 1980 Bothe Certificate.

Accompanying this cover is a registration receipt dated 21 August 1900 signed by the postal official Bogalecki at Kuis. His handwriting matches the manuscript "Kuis" cancelling the 3pf on the cover.
