1909 (1 Sept.) registered postcard from Lüderitzbucht to Altenburg via Windhoek, bearing on picture side 1900 50pf (Michel 18), cancelled by "Deutsche Seepost/Ost-/Afrikanische/Hauptlinie" c.d.s. (22.9) and also tied by straight-line "Deutsches Schutzgebiet" handstamp in violet, with provisional registration label manuscript "R/Deutsche Seepost O.A. Linie No. 451", and 1909 (2 Sept.) identical postcard except from Swakopmund bearing 1900 25pf, 1906 5pf and German East Africa 7½h similarly cancelled by c.d.s. and straight-line handstamp, with provisional registration label (No. 452), carried on the eastern round trip, Very Fine pair.
