1851, 3d bright blue and 6d yellow green (2, 4), both with large to enormous margins, tied by oval grids on 1853 (Nov.) folded letter from Acadia College, Horton to Philadelphia per "R.M. Steamer via Halifax", the 3d additionally tied by "Boston/5c" c.d.s. (Nov. 26), backstamped "Wolfville" (Nov. 16) and Halifax "H" (Nov. 19); some splitting at corner folds and opening tear at back flap, Extremely Fine. The 8d rate to the U.S. overpaid by 1d, with 5¢ inland postage due.
