[To Haiti] 1870, 6¢ carmine (148), used with 3¢ green (147), 7¢ vermilion (149, s.e.) and 10¢ brown (150, two singles, one s.e.), all cancelled by matching blue cross-roads on cover to Port-au-Prince, Haiti at double the 18¢ British mail rate via St. Thomas, red "New York Apr 23" exchange c.d.s. and crayon "16" credit, "St. Thomas AP 30 72" transit backstamp; F-VF.

The Philadelphia foreign mail office used blue cancelling ink with a 22mm cross-roads killer, recorded from March 1872 to August 1872. This cover was apparently cancelled by the Philadelphia foreign mail section and forward to the New York exchange office.
