A CHOICE EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE "MISSED THE BOAT" COVER, WHICH IS AMONG THE FINEST OF THE 20 RECORDED EXAMPLES.

This cover, as well as the other 19 recorded examples, had been intended to be on the March 20, 1912 sailing of the Titanic, and was therefore marked with the "TITANIC" handstamp. When the sailing date was changed to April 10, 1912, these covers were placed on the next available ship. For more information about these covers and the census, see www.titaniccovers.com.
