Includes letter from addressee, Mr. Otto Rochs (who sent six covers on the R.34) mentioning that he "tried to get letters posted on her outward trip but was too late".

The minimum authorised weight for use of Govt. Parcels stamps was 3 lbs, but it is known that this was ignored, especially by the Inland Revenue and examples down to the minimum parcel post rate of up to 1 lb. are known (usage on letters was unauthorised), the franking on this envelope paid the rate for 2 lbs, as might be imagined Govt. Parcels stamps on their original covers are great rarities, with the example offered here being unique, a most remarkable exhibition item.
