1923, 2¢ Harding essay (610), by Bureau engraver Frederick Pauling, plate-sunk area about 10x13 inches, overall about 13x20, 2-inch tear in border and mild foxing but a terrific collateral item. This etching was reduced photographically and used as a model for the stamp by designer Clair Huston (see Gary Griffith's United States Stamps 1922-26, page 174.
