This scarce $5 stamp is normally found heavily cancelled as it was most frequently used on parcels. To find one that is lightly cancelled is difficult, but to find a lightly cancelled example that is beautifully centered and incredibly fresh is virtually unheard of. This is a true condition rarity.

A GEM EXAMPLE OF THIS LITTLE-KNOWN AND EXTREMELY RARE GOVERNMENT ISSUED COIL.

Expertization: 2002 P.F. Certificate as well as a photocopy of 1986 PFC for the guide line strip of nine from which this was taken.

The rarest of the imperforate Government coils, only two rolls of 500 were produced for the private vending machine companies. We are currently aware of only four certified strips.
