GERMANY & STATES, Nice representative collection in three Scott Specialty albums, a Kabe album and a stockbook. Nothing really valuable, though we did notice a MNH set of black BERLIN overprints (unsigned and not figured). The States issues are better than average, the 19th century century is typical mixed quality, later there is some nice Nazi period material but very little of value in post-war. Finally, the stockbook contains a nice assortment of 19th century Locals. Overall, a useful lot.

Condition is a little mixed, especially in the 19th century but this is much better caliber than the dealers' stocks usually seen at auction with. Owner's retail prices total about $48,000. ITALIAN AREA COLLECTION, Three different hingeless albums: Italy in a Lindner album to 1946, States issues in a Marini album, and Aegean Is. & Offices Abroad in a Schaubek album. The States issues are better than average but there's not much of any real value and the Italy is lackluster, for the most part (though the catalog value for these two parts will add up to a fairly substantial number), and the Aegean Is. and Back-of-the-Book are pretty scattered. This one has a pretty good percentage of the real value in the albums, which are nice and clean.
