At the New York Post Office, numerals, both positive and negative were used as cancellers. For a very brief time- perhaps six weeks or so, Roman numerals were employed, as seen on the example offered here. These cancels are quite rare on any issue and especially so on Officials.

Omaha, Panama, "U.S. of Colombia"; one 1¢ creased where it was originally folded over the top of the envelope, both 1¢ with perf flaws, Fine.
